At NMS, we expect our employees to fulfill that missionin every aspect of their work.SummaryThis FoodService Worker position performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, foodpreparation, stocking, and serving duties in a commercial kitchen, storeroom,dining, or serving area.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assists residents asrequested with general information, inquiries, etc.

Obtains productsrequested by residents.

Washes objects by handor with cleaning equipment.

Properly, safely, andefficiently prepares various food products following and observing standardfood handling procedures.

Washes objects by handor with cleaning equipment.

Cleans dishes,utensils, pots, pans etc. and places in assigned storage areas in anorganized and orderly manner.

Maintains a variety ofproducts at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas includingservice machines.

Stocks storage areaswith various products.

Cleans, sweeps, wipesdown, etc. all general dining, kitchen, or storage areas (in some cases), spikerooms, and equipment as well as all floors.

Support an effectiveSafety Program.

Removes garbage fromassigned areas, sets up or breaks down tables, snack bars, display cases,serving lines, etc.

Assists with variousperiodically scheduled large cleaning projects.

Assists cooks andothers as needed and coordinates one’s own activities with other’s.

May occasionallyprepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.

Other duties that are pertinent to thedepartment or unit’s success also may be assigned.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.

Musthave Food Handlers Card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days of hire.

Musthave some knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment.

This contract requires employees to have the following immunizations: TB. Employees must be able to provide immunization records for this and/or be willing to take the vaccination if offered the job.

Contractrequires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidateswith at least six (6) months experience in the food service industry.
