HOURS: 8 to 30 hours per week, mainly evenings and weekends, depending on event schedule. Semi-skilled position responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the Carlson Center. Expected to be able to work without close supervision, and to work irregular hours including day or night shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays. Must be 18 yrs or older to apply. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Pick up debris on the floor and sweep all corridors, lobbies, balconies, bleachers, concourses, and bathrooms with a mop or broom. Remove any spillage, gum, and/or other foreign matter. Damp mop the flooring, bleachers and staging. Empty and clean all trash receptacles including waste baskets, ash trays, and sand urns and replace plastic liners as necessary. Clean the floors in corridors, lobbies, bathrooms, and offices with a spray buff machine, wet/dry vacuum, special nylon brush and/or other tools. High dust and clean the walls, air intakes and outlets, light fixtures, sills, and ledges. Repair and/or refinish furniture and equipment as directed using appropriate procedures. Vacuum and steam carpets. Clean and maintain restrooms by cleaning and refilling all dispensers, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning all bathroom surfaces and areas using a variety of chemicals. Clean all glass windows and doors. Timely completion of all time sheets and other paperwork Assist the conversion crew as necessary. Assist other operations and maintenance staff as needed to assure successful operation of the facility.
