IAC is currently in search of a Janitor to service, clean, sanitize, empty trash, and supply restrooms. As well as clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and buffing. Additionally, this position is responsible for packing up and discarding items left by clients and deep cleaning rooms as clients exit, to include cleaning out refrigerators/freezers, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning kitchen areas, and sweeping and mopping floors. The Janitor will maintain house laundry, to include the laundering of donated linens and laundering linens as clients move out as well as assisting in the disposal of donations and trash in common areas as needed. Lastly, stocking and maintaining all cleaning supply closets and other duties as assigned by the Client Services Director will be required.
Minimum qualifications include a demonstrated understanding of janitorial services, must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED, a commitment to agency's mission and goals, an ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles, an ability to lift 50 lbs., a valid Alaska Driver's License, excellent interpersonal, and written communication skills, and the ability to pass background check.
