Fairbanks office is in need of a front office medical admin. Position requires hefty amounts of compassion, patience and sharp attention to detail. Clinic is very fast paced with zero margin for error. The ability to follow compliance rules, federal laws & respect office and accreditation policy is of paramount importance. Strong personal integrity and work ethic is hugely valuable and desired.
Position is Full-Time with set hours of operation. Travel in and out of state for continued education is mandatory.
Desired candidate must have no less than 5 years medical office (human patients) experience, proficient with HIPAA compliance rules. Verifiable work references and history required.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 25 pounds intermittently.
Able to push/pull patients in wheelchairs.
Able to walk up/down flight of stairs intermittently.
Able to transition from extended periods of sitting to extended stints of walking/standing as needed for patient care.
This position requires the use of industry specific EHR software & a good knowledge of various computer applications. Position will transition into the majority of in-bound telephone calls reception upon completion of training, above average communication/listening skills are a must. Preferred candidate needs to be able to 'catch on' quickly, has a mature no-drama temperament, is highly self-confident & projects caring warmth to patient via telephone or face to face interactions. Conversely, must be firm, professional & articulate when interacting with referring sources, pushy personality types, medical community and other outside interests. Above all else, must work effectively, confidently and have a problem solving mind-set.
This position is extremely important as this is typically the first member of our company people will interact with; there are no re-dos for first impressions.
