Charlies Produce Anchorage is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated sales person that can manage 3PL clients and solutions that help solve supply chain needs.

This is position is based out of our Anchorage division and will involve some light travel. It’s a full-time, exempt/salaried position that reports to the Logistics Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Meet or exceed budgeted revenue and shipment goals while understanding profitability requirements

• Conduct market research using provided tools, and/or using web, industry materials and excerpts.

• Manage existing book of business

• Prospect for new business opportunities through existing customer base and new client outreach

• Negotiate pricing/supplier agreements with clients

• Prepare bids and contracts for new business.

• Solutions oriented, working closely with operations and management teams to problem solve efficiently

• Drive positive customer interactions using CP Logistics process for exploration and solution design.

• Meet in person with prospects and give sales presentations that demonstrate CP Logistics capabilities

• Conduct business reviews for existing clients and identify new opportunities to improve service and increase sales.

• Monitor changing market conditions and competitor activities and develop appropriate action plans.

• Understand reporting responsibilities and administrative tasks that include budget reporting, prospect updates, pricing initiatives, contract reviews and various other responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

• We prefer a minimum of two years of sales experience in transportation/distribution or supply chain

• Assertive team player, results orientated, and have the ability to network and be creative.

• Demonstrate strong teamwork and the ability to effectively communicate and influence both verbally and in writing.

• Able to build and maintain relationships with the CP Logistics Team and Customers.

• Solid presentation, organization, and negotiation skills.

• Logistics and Supply Chain knowledge

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly pick up use of CP Logistics internal TMS systems.

• Willing to travel

• Bachelor’s degree (a plus, not a must).
