JOSHUA PROJECT CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Title: Joshua Project Construction Manager
Hours: Flexible schedule, 40 hours a week
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Definition of Position:
The Construction Manager coordinates all aspects of FRMs Joshua Projects construction and building activities. This position is responsible to coordinate and oversee teams of volunteers on the construction site as a servant-leader, teaching and mentoring volunteers in construction activities, training, site safety, and coordination of home construction at the build site from start to completion.
Minimum Qualifications:
Have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in most aspects of home construction
Have a minimum High School Diploma
Have a reliable vehicle and current drivers license (to travel to and from the worksite)
Must be physically and mentally capable of performing the basic job activities and responsibilities
Experience with SIP Panels a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Possess strong written and oral communication skills
Be organized and a good planner; able to use Google Calendar or similar applications
Be able to lead and coordinate people and activities well and possess strong teaching and mentoring skills in most aspects of home construction trade activities
Experience with project budgeting and scheduling
Job Duties:
Be on the worksite on scheduled work days (typically Tuesday through Saturday)
Act as the primary conduit for communication between FRM Executive Director and key volunteers
Supervise construction volunteers in a manner that reflects our Christian ministry and encourages future participation, with an emphasis on safety, quality fellowship and mission. Plan volunteer needs to be sure that all volunteers have meaningful tasks.
Ensure supplies and materials are available on-site as needed to support the build schedule
Train and mentor volunteer in construction techniques
Provide written daily reports on work accomplished, work to be performed and supplies/materials/volunteers needed to FRM Executive Director
Ensure permits and inspections are completed as needed to support the schedule
Organize and lead safety meetings for volunteers and perform follow-up reviews on any construction site accidents/injuries to prevent recurrence
Maintain a professional and courteous relationships with volunteers, staff, and community partners
