Colville Transport, LLC is seeking a heavy duty diesel mechanic for Fairbanks.
Summary of Responsibilities:
⢠Conduct inspections on company trucks
⢠Perform Diagnostic tests
⢠Identify worn and damaged parts
⢠Install component and part upgrades
⢠Control corrosion
⢠Complete winter weatherization procedures
⢠Oil changes
⢠Chassis lubes
Responsibilities will also include the correction of vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems and making adjustments and alignments to bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
This position will keep shop equipment operational by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
Class "A" CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements a plus, in addition to a background, DMV check, and UA. Aluminum welding experience is preferred but not a requirement.
