First National Bank Alaska, FNBA, is seeking a Branch Manager II Lending at our Valley Centre Branch in Juneau. This position manages the lending and operations of a small full service branch or loan production office, including daily operations, market development, and physical requirements of the building; develops and maintains banking relationships and makes a variety of smaller or less complex loans based on limited lending authority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Analyzes existing and prospective customers' banking needs, earnings and financial conditions to determine which bank product are most appropriate, and to assess acceptable risk. Approves/denies, or recommends approval/denial of loans within lending authority, minimizing exposure to bank losses.

2. Provides advice and service to existing customers and generates new business by calling on prospective customers regarding the establishment of new banking relationships.

3. Manages existing loan portfolio, which includes the monitoring, and collection of loan payments. Modifies loan structure or extends loan terms to protect bank's interest when required.

4. Ensures lending compliance of branch with bank and/or regulatory procedures, policies, and/or requirements and takes corrective action when non-compliance is identified; maintains a satisfactory lending compliance audit and ensures deposit operations maintains a satisfactory audit.

5. May assist in training and providing functional guidance to new loan officers on lending procedures, policies, and regulations and makes recommendations for improvements to procedures as appropriate.

6. Represents the bank in the community to develop and promote additional business.

7. Maintains branch physical security and minimizes risk of bank losses.

8. Keeps informed about the banking industry and all bank products. Maintains awareness of competitors' products and the bank's advantage.

9. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains and implements operational components of the business units' Business Continuity Plan: conducts periodic tests, cross trains and evaluates delegates' ability to perform critical and essential functions to restore operations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages a small full service branch or loan production office. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and terminating employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and implementing policies and/or procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:.

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a business field and two years lending related or banking experience; or five years commercial, real estate, consumer lending related, or banking experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.

Preferred: Commercial lending, supervisory, and sales or marketing experience.
