Alaskan Dream Cruises is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working applicants to join us this cruise season to provide a level of extraordinary service we call True Alaskan Hospitality.

Alaskan Dream Cruises is hiring for multiple seasonal shore support positions in Juneau. FT & PT available. Also accepting applicants who are only available for part of the summer season.

Available positions include:

Shore Support Member “ Alaskan Dream Cruises Shore Support Team is responsible for overseeing all passenger departures and arrivals from the Juneau Airport or Ferry Terminal, along with providing transportation to and from hotel accommodations and our vessels. The Shore Support Team will also assist guests and additional transport needs for Alaskan Dream Cruises vessels who are in Juneau for the day as a port stop. We are the first and last face of Alaskan Dream Cruises for our guests, candidates should be customer-service oriented, upbeat, punctual, and well-dressed in appropriate company uniform.

True Alaskan Host “ Alaskan Dream Cruises has a Hospitality Room located downtown for our guests to utilize on the day they get on or off our vessel. The True Alaskan Host is responsible for maintaining this room and assisting guests. Guests may store luggage in this room and the Host is responsible for sorting luggage based on group. The True Alaskan Host should be knowledgeable about activities in Juneau and be able to answer general questions from guests.

Juneau Guide “ Guests that are embarking on their cruise in Juneau participate in a tour before heading to their vessel. The Juneau Guide is responsible for meeting all guests at the Hospitality Room to provide a brief introduction and accompany them to all tour stops. The Juneau Guide is responsible for ensuring that the tour schedule is followed and that all guests have checked in before departing locations. The Guide should be comfortable with public speaking in large groups and be able to answer questions relating to Juneau.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years or older

Highly-organized and able to give clear directives.

A people person who enjoys interaction with Alaskan Dream Cruises guests of all ages.

Interpersonal skills which require the ability to interact cordially and professionally with your fellow shore support staff

Knowledge of Juneaus activities and restaurants for guest inquiries.

Able to work a flexible schedule according to guest travel schedules (ie. flight times and ferry schedules) and ship departures

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Proven team player and have a Can-Do attitude.

Must pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with company random drug testing program.

Hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record

Feel comfortable driving a large vehicle (CDL not required)

Must be able to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.

HOUSING:

Housing is not included for shoreside positions. It is best to start looking for housing at your earliest opportunity and we are happy to point you in the direction of listings and opportunities!
