DIPAC Macaulay Salmon Hatchery is currently accepting applications and hiring tour guides for the end of the 2019 summer tourism season.
Must be 16 years or older!
A tour guide is a customer service oriented person with public speaking experience as well as money handling skills. A fast-paced worker able to multi-task and can move from one job to another as needed. Interest and knowledge of marine life and fisheries are a plus.
Tasks and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Providing educational commentary to large groups of people
Retail sales
Stocking merchandise
Cleaning of visitor center, aquariums and gift shop
Mail orders
Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
Interest in marine environment and fisheries are a PLUS
This is a seasonal position available AUGUST 1st through October 2nd. We are currently seeking guides who can work full time. Must be willing to work weekends. Will work no later than 7:30PM (most days no later than 6:30PM).
