SUMMARY:
This is a seasonal temporary position that is expected to run through September. However, there is potential for a year-round full-time position for someone who is able to both contribute enthusiastically to Production duties AND effectively represent Ravens Brew Coffee to the local market.
Assist Roastery Supervisor and other staff in Production: coffee filling, bag preparation, warehouse maintenance, cleaning and other duties as assigned. Complete customer deliveries in accordance with company policies, acting as a representative of Ravens Brew Coffee. Adhere to company production procedures to complete each days work in an accurate and safe manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production/Warehouse
o Preparing coffee bags for filling
o Filling and sealing coffee bags
o Assemble boxes
o Grind coffee
o Assemble orders for customers
o Accurately pick, package and stock products
o Prepare orders for shipment, delivery, and pick-up
o Receive and stock freight
o Assist in inventory counts and stocking
o Help maintain production floor and storage bay in a clean, neat, and orderly manner
o Help clean all areas of the facility: vacuum, sweep, and mop
o Other duties as assigned
Delivery
o Ensure every customer experience is exceptional
o Ensure company policies are followed regarding all aspects of customer deliveries
o Prepare orders for delivery, load the van
o Determine order needs for grocery customers and submit those orders to Customer Service using established processes
o Stock and clean grocery shelves/displays
o Communicate customer needs to roastery supervisor or Sales/Customer service, as appropriate
o Report any unusual customer interactions or news from customers to roastery supervisor or Sales/Customer service, as appropriate
o Assist in the maintenance and fueling of the company van, as requested
o Prepare and complete deposits for COD delivery customers
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
No tobacco use
Independent work ethic
Consistent and punctual attendance
Ability to stand and work for long periods of time
Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Able to read, write and communicate in English and comprehend instructions
Standard math and basic computer skills (i.e., email, shipping & label programs)
Able to lift 30 55lbs frequently
Forklift and pallet jack operation (all necessary training will be provided)
Valid Drivers License and driving record acceptable by our insurer
Ability to expend substantial physical effort while working effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying temperature/weather conditions
Extended hours as needed to meet all seasonal production needs
