Overview of PositionDirect/Manage/Supervise the revenue cycle operations for an organization that provides healthcare patient services. Work with senior leadership to develop revenue cycle strategies that maximize process efficiency and reimbursement. Lead process improvement across the functional teams that contribute to the revenue cycle, such as claims, billing, and payment posting. Monitor the effectiveness of activities contributing to the revenue cycle to identify and reduce missed revenue opportunities. Remain knowledgeable of insurance policy and governmental regulations affecting billing practices to ensure organizational compliance. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Ability to successfully follow-up of all outstanding A/R payers, including commercial payers, auto and other liability payers and workers compensation payers.

Assisting with new employee training and mentoring current employees. Help to identify training needs and assist with creating training materials.

Helps to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.

Ability to think strategically and provide strategic insight to customers to improve performance. Assists with report reviews, as needed.

Oversee work assignments of the team.

Serve as primary contact for account level questions from other team members.

Meet productivity and quality standards.

Identify any issues or trends and bring them to the attention of management team.

Work on special projects as assigned.

What are the requirements needed for this position?Years of experience: 5+ years’ hospital billing and follow up

Education: High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred

Up to six years of experience in area of supervision with one year of leadership responsibility

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Comprehensive knowledge of the A/R process

Thorough knowledge of billing guidelines

Expertise with Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial BCBS, and MVA insurance follow-up in multiple states

Demonstrated leadership skills

Proven ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision

Strong communication skills

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Strong follow-up and organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to think analytically

Ability to follow HIPPA policies and confidentiality policies

Experience with EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, or other E.H.Rs

Experience with Assurance (ePremis, Relay), SSI, or other billing systems

Colorado Residents Only:

The base pay range for Colorado residents is $41,895.00 - $92,505.00 plus any relevant incentive pay programs that may be aligned to the role.
