Sundance Mining Group is hiring a camp cook for the Dawson Mine Project located in Hollis AK on Prince of Wales Island. We are an active year around underground gold/silver mine project looking for adventurous person not afraid of working hard with long hours. Two weeks on, two weeks off schedule. Excellent wage scale with health insurance benefits. Beautiful camp in a beautiful location. Room and travel support may be available depending on applicant’s situation. Our company adheres to a strict substance abuse policy.
The position of camp cook requires motivation, responsibility, creativity, cleanliness and stamina. Having an excellent work ethic, a pleasant, positive, team member attitude and the ability to interact well with others, is a must!
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Camp Cook will prep and prepare 3 robust meals a day, as well as baking bread/desserts/cookies/etc., for 15 - 30 employees. Meals are buffet/family style.
Menu planning
Inventory rotation
Tracking of meals served and inventory.
Cleaning - includes dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, etc.
Helping other staff/departments as needed
