A champion of behavioral health care, this position is an integral part of the treatment team. As a clear, organized, and compassionate communicator, this position regularly interfaces with behavioral health staff, legal entities, and patients in need of psychiatric and behavioral care in Southeast Alaska.
Required experience and training:
Bachelors in social work or related field with four years experience; masters degree in social work (MSW) or related field preferred
Two years employment in a healthcare setting or community agency dealing with health and/or welfare issues preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of community health, welfare, and social agencies
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patients needs
Demonstrated proficiency in social work practice
