Compensation Range Starting out: $17.15-$20.00

$1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS (paid in two installments paid after successful completion of 90 days and 180 days of employment)

About the 24-Hour Direct Service Provider Position

We are looking for compassionate caregivers to care for our clients in a professional manner. It’s often a demanding job, but, it can also be very gratifying. People who are developmentally disabled are deserving and thankful for exceptional support. By actually spending time with our clients as they move through their daily lives, you will provide support to include, but not limited to, daily living skills, household management, building/maintaining relationships, communication, health/dental/wellness, and self-advocacy. Responsibilities may include assistance with personal care and hygiene.

The ideal candidate will be dependable and courteous with outstanding communication skills. A successful caregiver will be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients.

Caregiver Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication

Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)

Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

Help clients with physical therapy exercises

Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)

Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop

Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own

Be a pleasant and supportive companion

Report any unusual incidents

Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements

Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)

Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints

Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

Respectful and compassionate

Good time management skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Strong ethics

Physical endurance

High school diploma or equivalent
