About Us
The Swan Lake Senior Center is a program of Southeast Senior Services (SESS), a division of Catholic Community Service (CCS), which provides meals, transportation, and support to seniors in the Sitka community. CCS is a regional, non-profit organization providing services to individuals and families throughout Southeast Alaska. Our services include programs for seniors, children and families and for individuals needing home health and hospice services. We employ and serve people of all faiths and walks of life with dignity, care and compassion.
Job Description
The Swan Lake Senior Center is seeking a caring individual to provide transportation to our community seniors and individuals with disabilities. Position requires safe and legal driving of CCS vehicles, providing door-to-door escorts to clients, assisting passengers using wheelchairs, and supporting clients that may have cognitive impairments.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid Alaska drivers license with a good driving record for the past eighteen months and no DUI or reckless driving charges for the past three years. Background check, pre-employment and random drug screening required.
Compensation and Benefits
Position is 37.5 hours per week, starting at $15/hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a 403(b) Thrift Savings Plan, paid time off, and 12 paid holidays annually.
