Do you have some extra time on your hands? Do you enjoy helping senior citizens? Are you a team player looking for a challenge? The Haines Senior Center provides much needed services to the elders of Haines by providing nutritious meals in the center and in their homes. The Haines Senior Center also provides transportation to the communitys elders to keep them active in the community and to help them meet their day-to-day needs. Consider joining us!
Temporary/Substitute Cook (24 hours per week mid-April through September): Duties include relating to staff, participants and volunteers in a positive manner; supervising and training kitchen staff; ordering food and supplies; preparing meals according to senior nutrition program guidelines; and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen according to Alaska food service regulations. Prior industrial kitchen experience preferred but we will train. Must obtain State Food Worker's Card within 10 days of hire. $14/hour
