The Glory Hall is seeking a Night Community Support Specialist. The main focus of this position is to provide compassionate and kind services to all who come through our doors as well as to oversee the general safety and wellness of our patrons and our facility between the hours of 10pm and 6am.

Employment Type: Casual

Schedule: 10 pm – 6 am (1-3 shifts a week)

BASIC DUTIES

1. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the shelter. Help to foster and maintain an environment where all people are respected, listened to, and treated with compassion and kindness regardless of their behavior, race, gender, orientation, identity, or disability.

2. Keep track of absences from the dorm and clean any rooms that are not being used

3. Treat all patrons with respect and compassion

4. Ensure that TGH policies and procedures are being followed by overnight Community Support Specialists and Patrons

5. AKHMIS data entry and ensuring that all forms are completed properly and properly entered into the computer

6. Adhere to COVID-19 protocols and procedures by wearing a face mask washing hands regularly, wearing gloves, sanitize surfaces and dishes thoroughly, maintain 6ft between you and co-workers and patrons

7. Coordinate with Program Manager on room inspections and PATH program as needed

8. Ensure that new patrons have sheets, a pillow and a blanket

9. Be kind and courteous to everyone you interact with

10. Ensure the facility is sanitized and clean. Wash, dry and fold in-house laundry.

11. Ensure that the building is in good working order. If anything needs replacement or fixing inform management

12. Ensure that patrons are safe; if someone needs medical attention call the appropriate entity
