RECEPTIONIST- Seasonal Position

AGS has been processing and shipping high quality, wild caught fresh and frozen seafood since 1996. AGS processes Halibut, Salmon, Rockfish, True Cod, Blackcod, Sea Cucumbers, Crab and Shrimp, which is packaged and shipped worldwide. Our Receptionist is our first point of contact for all customers and vendors. You will be expected to warmly greet visitors, master our multi-line telephone system, accurately direct phone calls, answer general questions and perform the following duties:
Responsibilities ><>
Answer incoming calls, determine the purpose of the caller, answer basic questions or direct/forward the calls to the appropriate personnel or department.
Retrieve voice messages and respond or forward to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Welcome visitors, determine the nature of their business, announce visitors to appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors with plant rules for current Good Manufacturing Practices and assist with hairnets, beard nets, hats, gloves, boots, and possibly rain gear.
Filing and Scanning.
Process daily outgoing/incoming mail: USPS, FedEx, UPS.
Assist in bank deposits / mail pick up and errands.
Receive, sort, and route mail to appropriate department.
Create and print memos, correspondence, reports and other documents as needed.
Advise callers to visit hiring website.
Performs other clerical duties as needed such as data-entry, event planning, and year end purge.
Sell and maintain stocking of all AGS clothing
Assist with office supplies
Assist with stockroom organization
Assist with keeping the company vehicles clean, and the vehicle log up-to-date. Ensure keys turned in.
Assist with filling and maintaining the break room vending machines.
Sales transactions for customers and employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications ><>
Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred (18 years or older).
Current Alaska Driver License with clean record.
Training / Skills:

Ability to organize and plan
Quickly solve problems
Multi-tasking
Attention to detail
Proficient in English, both verbal and written
Proficient in basic Mathematics
Basic knowledge in computers, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel
Ability to be Forklift Certification preferred
