Wild Alaska Cruises and Sport fishing is looking for a qualified, USCG licensed captain to operate as saltwater fishing guide in our world class operation. We operate from the ports of Juneau and Petersburg in beautiful Southeast Alaska.

The successful applicant will possess:

USCG OUPV license, near shore (minimum), First Aid Card.

Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing.

Experience operating vessels in saltwater.

Prior guiding experience.

Personal Requirements:

• Physical fitness and good health.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic drug testing.

• Knowledge of safety procedures.

• Good hand-eye coordination.

• Good sense of balance.

• Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.

• Alertness and common sense.

• Enjoyment of practical work, working outdoors, and working with people.

• Friendly and courteous manner while interacting with guests and crew.

• Good communication skills.

• Good visualization skills with the ability to follow instructions.

• High level of customer service and customer relations skills

• Willingness to spend time aboard ship away from home and for up to 5 months.

Room & Board

A position with our company is dependent upon living on board. Wild Alaska Cruises recognizes that housing in Alaska can be costly but these expenses won't be a problem since Room & Board is included while living on board. It is important for everyone to be respectful of others living space. For this reason, guidelines are in place to help ensure our on board experience can be enjoyed by all. Crew members are provided with the same 5 star cuisine served our guests.
