JOB SUMMARY
With limited supervision from the Operations Manager, the Food Service Supervisor manages the Horizons Café, on-site catering, and Northern Cup as profitable centers of revenue. Provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service staff (4-5 employees) in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources. Ensures services are delivered in compliance with the contract’s scope of work, DUS policies, and all applicable laws, regulations and operating standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Culinary training from an accredited culinary institute, or management experience in high volume dining operations.
Five (5) years of experience in quantity food production operations and at least three (3) years supervisory experience in the food service industry.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Certified Professional Food Manager or equivalent
Able to proficiently speak, read, understand and write English
Must pass company pre-employment process including a drug test, criminal background check, and a post-offer physical/functional capacity evaluation.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience in developing and implementing food service business plans
Retail dining experience at a supervisory level
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The majority of work is performed in a food service environment with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities. All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
