We are seeking an experienced building property maintenance technician to work at our apartment complex in Seward, AK. The position is responsible for the overall day-to-day and preventative maintenance of our Apartment Community. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Experience
Training in some or all of these areas a plus:
HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, dry wall repair, cleaning & appliances
Skills in customer service and reasoning
Must be self-motivated and willing to take initiative Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & repair experience
Ability to read, interpret documents and do basic math
Computer, working knowledge for time clocks, online ordering
Expected Duties
Unit turns and apartment repairs.
Performing light electrical, plumbing and carpentry work, painting, drywall repair, install bathroom and kitchen faucets and fixtures
Some carpet and linoleum repairs
Performing custodial and grounds work
Keeping accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections and inventories
Positive interaction with residents
Performing light maintenance on appliances
Assist with unit inspections to ensure compliance with LIHTC and HUD Standards
Qualifications to Include:
High school education or equivalent
$17.00
Part-time position 40 hours to start, then 20 hours per week
Drug Free Workplace - Drug testing and background check required
