maintaining Quality Surveillance (QS) for the multimillion-dollar
Base Operating Support Services (BOSS) contract. Base Kodiak
supports a customer base of 1,300 CG active-duty and civilian
personnel, as well as 3,000 dependents that utilize Base Kodiak
facilities, vehicles and equipment. This includes roads, grounds,
housing, playgrounds, sports fields offices, workshops, warehouses,
hangars, and government vehicles.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the
Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
Assist other Facilities Engineering Department (COR) in
tracking physical work completion and quality
Evaluate contractor generated Worker Orders (WOs) for quality
and accuracy with respect to the data product
Evaluate customer notifications required for maintenance work
Evaluate service work for completeness and accuracy
Monitor preventive maintenance work for completion relative to
the preventive maintenance schedule and evaluate the preventive
maintenance WOs with respect to the data product

GS-5 grade level. Specialized experience is experience that has

generated work orders for quality and accuracy; evaluating customer
notifications required for maintenance work; monitoring preventive
maintenance work for completion; and maintaining quality of work
