The Controller, under the direction and supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, assists with the daily operations of the Finance Division, maintains the general ledger system, including timely reconciliations of accounts, cash flow maintenance and is responsible for the annual audit preparation. Assists the CFO in establishing departmental policies. Oversees financial operations in the absence of Chief Financial Officer and supervises the staff in the Finance Division and the daily operation.PRINCIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESOversees the daily operations of the Finance Division.Oversees Finance in absence of CFO.Maintains the general ledger system and prepares monthly reconciliations.Assists Chief Financial Officer with cash flow needs of the organization.Review and approves payroll tax reports and ensures that the payroll systems is correctly integrated into the general ledger system. Assists with periodic financial and grant reports.Responsible for the preparation of year-end audit schedules. Oversees audit preparations and coordinates. Works closely with auditors and staff to ensure timely completion. Generates any reports needed for auditors.Prepares Federal and State schedules and Grant Analysis for auditors at the end of the fiscal year.Assists with the preparation the annual budget of the Association.Generates the necessary financial reports as needed. Ensures continued implementation of efficiency in set up issues of payroll in Navision.Maintains Accounts Receivables: MHC Patient AR (monthly) and Grants AR (year-end).Assists in the preparation of cost reports and in the negotiation of indirect cost rate.Assists in the preparation of tax form 990 for the organization.Responsible for the accounting system and security maintenance under the supervision of the CFO.Other duties as assigned
