BRIEF JOB SUMMARYManage and direct the day-to-day business activities of the Petro Star Valdez Refinery to include safe and efficient refinery operations while optimizing production. Manage and direct the maintenance and operations staff to complete timely and professional preventative and corrective maintenance of all refinery equipment and assetsand.nbsp; Develop and manage the refinery operating and capital budgets, personnel, equipment, lands and buildings.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)Supervise and provide leadership and guidance to all refinery personneland.nbsp; This includes providing leadership, support and collaboration with on-site personnel outside of direct refinery operations, such as safety and compliance.Serve as the principal emergency contact for all issues and incidents arising at the refinery, as well as the principal on-site contact for local, state and federal regulatory agencies.Provide professional communication and support to PSI Anchorage corporate office, ASRC and their respective leadership teamsand.nbsp; Interface professionally with local, State and Federal agencies.Responsible for Refinery compliance with operational, environmental and safety regulationsand.nbsp; Works to continuously identify and champion efforts to improve operational efficiency and workplace safety, as well as act as environmental stewardand.nbsp; Demonstrate proactive leadership to all refinery personnel and effectively manage and resolve all performance issues, coordinating with appropriate refinery and corporate Human Resources staff.Manage and assist in development of the refinery OPEX and Capital budgetsand.nbsp; Identifies capital maintaining and revenue growth opportunities for further development, including coordinating closely with the corporate engineering .and.amp; construction division.Work closely with the Safety department, both at refinery and corporate office, to ensure safe and compliant refinery operations consistent with the Process Safety Management principles.Coordinate with the Safety department to ensure that the appropriate level of documented investigation occurs under the Safety policies and proceduresand.nbsp; Act as principal responsible party for ensuring all refinery personnel diligently follow all Safety policies and procedures.Coordinate with engineering .and.amp; construction division to develop conceptual estimates for plant turnarounds, capital projects and new construction.Direct and promote timely and appropriate completion of identified action items from audits, PHA s and safety and compliance reviews. Promotes proactive focus to trouble-shooting process units and fosters positive, high-involvement work environment.Direct sourcing of necessary personnel for turnarounds, capital projects and new construction, coordinating contracting efforts with corporate office.Direct plant personnel in specialized tasks according to their individual abilities.Develop skills and careers of all Valdez Refinery employees at site.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCERequires a Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience. Project management experience is desirableand.nbsp; Minimum of ten years supervisory experience in a refining or similar process environment.10 years experience leading operations or maintenance personnel in an industrial setting.
