Job Description:

Quality Manager

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide direction and leadership to matters relating to quality within the company. The incumbent also coordinates all aspects of the local sites Quality Assurance program, including developing and administering the program, training, and coaching employees, and facilitating change throughout the organization. This position establishes plans, policies, and procedures at all levels to ensure that the Quality Assurance program will meet or exceed internal and external customers' needs and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as required):
  • Promotes safety and quality as the top priorities throughout the business through the administration of the company's quality assurance program to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains the Quality Management System and ensures ongoing compliance with the ISO 9001 standard while administering the internal quality audit system.
  • Maintains the Quality Management System with regards to Semiconductor Copy Exact process control requirements.
  • Interfaces with production daily to ensure proper execution of the company's quality assurance program, monitors all operations that affect quality and establishes quality procedures, standards, and systems
  • Facilitates communications for key customers and suppliers regarding quality issues and the resolution of any challenges that may impede customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains data collection system that provides information related to the quality of our products and systems and maintains quality information in SAP system.
  • Acts as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality.
  • Performs root-cause investigations in response to external and internal issues.
  • Manages the quality and metrology team including supervisory responsibilities.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to the company Code of Conduct Policy as relates for position.
  • Responsibility to ensure that direct reports and overall employee population are also aware and adhere to Code of Conduct Guidelines.
  • Operate in accordance and in full compliance with all applicable Business Excellence programs and ISO standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure the execution of an effective need-based training program for all department personnel.
  • Participate in the conduct of annual ISO and internal audits, as required.
  • Conduct and/or participate-in special projects, as required.
  • Additional assignments as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include the selection, training and development, assigning work, and performance management of employees.

Responsible for managing time and attendance, expense review and approval, compliance assurance and purchasing authorization for direct reports via multiple online tools

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or travel availability required.
  • Strong business acumen with a holistic view on markets, customers, and the value chain
  • Experience in manufacturing and commercializing of complex technical products preferably in the semiconductor industry
  • Well-developed understanding of production processes preferably in ceramic engineering
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in a variety of methodologies like Lean Innovation and Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, KATA coaching, and Agile Project Management.
  • Sound knowledge of EHS within manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of Quality Management experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience or combination of education and experience. Highly prefer semiconductor or automotive industry.
  • ISO 9001 Internal/Lead Auditor, preference on individuals that were in charge of developing and achieving certifications in ISO9000 or other recognized QM system.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and SPC, including IT tools such as Minitab, Jump etc.
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of problem-solving techniques (root-cause, 8d, etc.).
  • Able to perform Risk Analysis.
  • Solid experience in metrology.
  • IATF 16949 knowledge preferred.
  • SAP and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines.
