Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Lead Java/Groovy Pipeline Developer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Chandler, AZ.

Hybrid model in San Francisco, CA., Chandler, AZ., Raleigh, NC., Charlotte, NC., or West Des Moines, IA.

Responsibilities :

• Build and release pipeline, specifically the Enterprise Pipeline (EPL) that can be deployed to a managed Kubernetes public cloud environment
• Required to write code that enables the automation of processes via CI/CD
• Java developer who is willing to work as a pipeline developer in world of DevOps
• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs.
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors.
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals. Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.

Required Skills :

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience in Pipeline as code development or equivalent
• 1+ years of DevOps and SRE experience
• 3+ years of Java experience
• 2+ years of Groovy experience
• 2+ years of experience with automation using shell scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• 3+ years of Maven experience, Gradle experience or combination of both
• Basic understanding of containers - Kubernetes/Docker
• Working knowledge on how to invoke the CICD Toolchain APIs - example, invoking Github, Artifactory, ServiceNow, Jenkins, Harness APIs
• Experience with developing and deploying to one or more Cloud platforms: AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), Azure
• Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening in a hybrid model
• Ability to provide and work from a home office
• Ability to work additional hours as needed

Preferred Skills :

• Experience in Pipeline development Jenkins
