Veterinary Technician - Verde Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA Accredited 3 doctor small animal practice looking for a full-time veterinary technician.
Veterinary Technician duties - If you are the Veterinary Technician we are looking for you'll be outgoing, positive, enthusiastic, compassionate and not afraid to get dirty. You will use your communication skills, problem solving skills and be a passionate patient advocate. You'll need to be professional, trustworthy, self-starting, punctual, and love smiling. Veterinary Technician qualifications - Technical skills we are looking for include monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery, restraint, blood draws, placing IV catheters, and other advanced skills. Some skills can be taught on site but you should have some level of knowledge to build on. Ability to work on your feet and occasionally lift heavy animals is needed as a Veterinary Technician. Must be available to work weekdays and some Saturdays. Must have: Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills including working in a team environment, handling difficult situations including emergencies, basic computer skills (AVImark experience preferred), and strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and still attend to details. Veterinary Technicians must share a firm belief in the quality of care we provide and communicate this sense of assurance to clients. It is important to know and understand our services and recommendations and be able to clearly convey the value of the services to the clients.
