LEAD CARPENTER / PROJECT MANAGER
This Position Combines Hands-On Responsibilities as well as Project Management Duties
REVE DESIGN and CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION is an exceptional design/build firm serving the Phoenix area and Northern Arizona. We specialize in custom homes, whole house remodels, kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and outdoor living spaces.
We are looking for a lead carpenter with an aptitude for detail and a passion for customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the high standards expected in all areas of the design build project. Planning, project flow, and communication skills are key.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hands on lead carpenter with demonstrated skills in the areas of:
o Custom and modular cabinet installation
o Millwork, casework, framing, windows, doors & specialty items
Create an anticipated project schedule (critical path) in advance of project. Follow and adjust project schedule as needed based on production realities and communication with the Production Manager. Advise subcontractors of proposed schedule.
Verify and confirm material lead times, purchase orders, and deliveries as needed to maintain efficient schedule.
Supervise the activities of the company's field carpenters and/or independent subcontractors. This includes written as well as verbal communication as needed.
Track the progress and profitability of the projects under his or her supervision. Communicate any customer concerns, problems, delays, etc. to the Production Manager.
Interact with the customers of the company and show good customer service skills.
Insure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication.
Receive progress payments and final payment from the client upon completion of the project or as directed by Production Manager.
Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company's time, manpower and materials on each project.
Maintain an ongoing inventory of necessary tools and equipment, safety equipment, and vehicles required to complete projects.
Maintain an on-hand supply of company lead sheets for all field and office inquiries from potential prospects. Submit completed sheets to the appropriate company representative.
Provide new carpenter orientation and training as needed or directed by Production Manager.
Attend seminars and shows as suggested by company management to obtain new product knowledge and new installation procedures.
Seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management as needed to enhance existing skills, learn new skills, and create potential for advancement within the company.
