Our work depends on an Education, Training, and Outreach (ETO) Specialist joining our Marketplace Assister Technical Support (MATS) program team to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) activities.At GDIT, we put our people first. The MATS ETO team develops training materials, including user manuals, quick reference guides, and job aids, and creates communication materials, such as email templates, response templates, for the helpdesk system (Salesforce). Additionally, they review screen language for all MATS Information Technology development work.As an ETO Specialist supporting MATS, you will be trusted to work on conducting training discovery sessions with the client, drafting training plans, and designing and developing training materials. You will be responsible for ensuring Section 508 compliance and accessibility of all documents created and managing your time and collaborating with other instructional designers and IT professionals and subject matter experts.In this role, a typical day will include:Analyzing and documenting training needs for new or existing IT development work in support of multiple stakeholders.

Discussing ETO products with clients and assessing the best fit based on training needs.

Designing and developing training materials including user guides, quick reference guides, job aids, and other supporting documentation.

Ensuring products follow instructional design best practices and meet our internal standards and style guides.

Participating in stakeholder meetings and presenting ETO deliverables and solutions.

Creating communication including email language and response templates for new or existing IT development work.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, business, communications, or other related field.

Eight+ years of prior, relevant full-time work experience.

Working knowledge of health care, the ACA, and related issues.

Experience presenting to clients and stakeholders

Experience creating and developing training materials

Experience with Section 508 Compliance for documents

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:US citizen or a Green Card holder

Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus but not a requirement.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
