Abrazo Scottsdale Campus (located at AZ-51 and Bell Road in Phoenix) is a 136-bed full-service acute care community-based hospital which has provided excellent comprehensive medical care to patients in the northeastern region of metro Phoenix for more than 30 years. Abrazo Scottsdale Campus provides specialized services such as an accredited chest pain center, wound care and hyperbaric (high pressure) medicine, advanced orthopedics featuring navigational technology and sports medicine, expanded rehabilitation services, enhanced diagnostic imaging, and dedicated women’s programs.We are seeking a talented Office Coordinator FT days at Scottsdale for our Wound Care department Works under the general supervision of the Director. This position is responsible for the smooth and effective operation of the front desk of the wound care and hyperbaric clinic to include patient scheduling, admitting and registration, insurance pre-certification and authorization, charge entry and tracking, and reviewing the dictation and documentation performed by the clinical staff. Documents referrals and communicates with physicians and extended care facilities as required. Assist Director in tracking charges and revenues generated by the clinic. Maintains a pleasant and consistent flow in the daily operations by providing excellent customer service, communicating effectively with employees, physician offices, patients and insurance companies, and efficiently handling all tasks related to claims and financial submissions.SPECIAL SKILLS : Excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to multitask, organizational detail, ability to meet deadlines, work with little to no supervision, as a member of a team, efficient time management skills, computer programs including (Word, Excel, etc.). Ability to interact with patients, families, staff, management, physicians, representatives of insurance companies and other third-party-payors, as well as the general public. Must possess in-depth knowledge of medical and anatomical terminology, reimbursement principles, health record content, sequencing of diagnoses, and the use of coding software.
