The key to the team’s success lies in its ability to create highly relevant and scalable programs that turn practice management insights into actionable plans that advisors can implement in their firms. These programs are delivered by a nationwide team of experienced consultants who work closely with prospects, advisors and their Schwab relationship managers to understand the firm’s challenges and areas of opportunity, and then map a path forward.Programs developed and managed by BCE include the annual Charles Schwab RIA Benchmarking Study, immersive multi-week ‘Insight to Action’ consulting programs, the Schwab Executive Leadership Program, Schwab Advisor University, Business Start-up Consulting, Talent Resource Center, RIA Talent Advantage, RIA Intern Program, and the Cybersecurity Resource Center. The BCE team also produces white papers on a range of practice management issues in addition to creating resources to help advisors navigate compliance requirements.What you’re good atAs a key contributor of the Schwab Advisor Services BCE organization, the Senior Manager will be responsible for executing, maintaining, and overall management of multiple talent related programs. More specifically, this role is focused on the delivery and maintenance of our RIA Intern Program, Student Program at IMPACT, industry event coordination and general project management and administrative functions to help our existing advisors maximize their firm’s talent strategy and ­­­amplify our advocacy of the RIA industry with the next generation of talent.This role is focused on planning, executing, and driving our RIA Intern Program, which is designed to help prepare the next generation of talent for employment within the Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) industry. The Senior Manager in this role will serve as the BCE program lead responsible for providing project management support as well as managing meetings and communications with external and internal partners, developing program materials and intern curriculum, and coordinating program logistics.Additionally, this role is focused on planning and executing our Student Program at IMPACT. IMPACT is hosted by Schwab Advisor Services and is the largest conference of its kind within the RIA industry. Each year, the Student Program provides close to 100 students and faculty with opportunities to connect with independent advisors and other professionals within the industry. The Senior Manager will be responsible for coordinating student, faculty, and advisor participation in the Student Program at IMPACT, including designing and executing attendee experience, program materials, and logistics leading up to, during, and after the conference.Finally, this role will manage general administrative functions in support of other talent related efforts, including external industry sponsorships, event coordination, maintenance of various programmatic websites, and metrics reporting.Successful BCE team members are energized by the opportunity to work on varied projects and programs from year to year, are intellectually curious and passionate about learning new things, and able to perform and deliver in a highly collaborative environment. Key business partners include our Business and Technology Consultants, Schwab Sales Team, Human Resources, Training and Development, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Field Enablement, and Events.What you have

Strong program manager with a bias for action and the ability to overcome obstacles and successfully manage deliverables across multiple work streams and projects across multiple programs simultaneously

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to understand dependencies and anticipate downstream consequences

Enthusiasm for creating and cultivating relationships with internal and external partners, driving collaborative interactions and influencing outcomes

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and convey clear, succinct, and client-focused guidelines and messages in support of delivering superior experience

A ‘can-do’, results-oriented approach to business, ability to deliver high-quality work, develop and manage a project plan

Very strong project management skills

Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills

Experience serving the financial services industry (preferred); an understanding of practice management and consulting is desirable, but not required

7-10 years in a program and project management

Bachelor’s degree required

MBA preferred, but not required
