Title: Senior Software Engineer (Full-stack / JavaScript) Location: Remote - United States
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor to the product, helping the team build the next generation of technology while also maintaining and supporting legacy code. You will take part in peer code reviews, feature, and sprint planning, as well as writing documentation and tests. This is a small and nimble team, so each member is a core component to our overall vision and success. You are also a guiding voice for the team, helping with questions and team growth overall. We need people who love to foster a community of growth and positivity and love to share their technical knowledge. If you are looking for a high impact role, this is for you! What you've got:
4+ years working in an engineering/development environment
Very strong CSS / Frontend knowledge (have you seen that Peter Griffin CSS meme? Does it make you roll your eyes?)
Strong understanding of JavaScript and its ecosystem (yarn, npm, etc.)
4+ years of Node.js / Express work
Typescript (or similar - flow, etc.)
4+ years with React or a similar framework
Great Git knowledge and understanding
Experience using and creating CI/CD pipelines as well as some understanding of GitHub Actions
Experience with writing tests for both frontend and backend
Experience working with databases like Postgres
Ruby / Rails a big plus as we migrate away from that tech stack/legacy code
WordPress plugin or theme development a huge plus
Ability to communicate often and clearly about the status of projects, needs, and day to day operations via Slack, phone, or email.
Willingness to stay agile and on your toes as our roadmap and sports landscape changes often and quickly!
Sports knowledge a plus, but not required
