Design of gas turbine engine and installation components to comply with fire requirements.

Analysis of the vulnerability to fire of gas turbine engine and installation components.

Definition and leadership of fire tests.

Internal and external customer support.

Technical presentations and report writing.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

7 years’ experience in a technical discipline

Must be a US Person or able to obtain export authorization.

WE VALUE

Strong working knowledge of fire test standards like those in FAA AC:20-135

Comprehension of fire vulnerability in aerospace products and means to mitigate it.

Responsibilities include CFR 14 Part 25 and Part 33 fire compliance regulations

Fundamental educational background in aerodynamics, heat transfer, and/or structural mechanics

Aero/thermal software, preferably commercial packages such as Star CCM+, Fluent, CFX.

Mechanical software, preferably commercial packages such as Ansys, Nastran, or Abaqus

Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as MATLAB.

Candidate should have effective product design and development skills, team orientation, the ability to set realistic priorities, and focus on critical issues.

Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly both in writing and verbally, as appropriate for the topic and audience.

Good knowledge of aerospace industry.
