The successful candidate will be a core part of the SISS team, and therefore, have excellent communication, stakeholder management and team building skills. Experience managing large programs and multiple, complex projects is essential. This position will work across Schwab Technology Services (STS), reporting to the TIS Strategic Program Office Managing Director.What you’ll do:

Manage complex, strategic technology programs and/ or projects to successful completion.

Develop and manage relationships with and between all key program stakeholders, including the negotiation of roles and responsibilities.

Facilitate executive level Working Leadership Team and Steering Committee meetings.

Set clear expectations regarding artifacts, meetings, reporting and communication for all projects with the program.

Monitor the work of the Project Managers across the program, coaching where needed to ensure efficient and effective execution of project objectives and escalating to resource manager when necessary

Review critical artifacts to gain an understanding of project deliverables, ensure quality of content, and support the effective management of risks/issues.

Ensure realistic and reliable staffing plans across the program, focusing on the availability and commitment of appropriately skilled resources.

Ensure program-wide adherence to corporate standards including Legal, Compliance, Vendor Management, etc.

Track and report program level and critical project level activity and progress.

Clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate as appropriate.

Engage in building consensus, and developing recommended solutions as issues arise.

Understand and manage dependencies and priorities across the projects within the program; ensure an integrated implementation of project deliverables across the program

Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, and determining and conveying impact .

Manage financials at the program and/or project level, as appropriate.

May play the Project Manager role for projects within the program, depending on expertise and bandwidth.

What you have:Required Skills:

Bachelor degree in Business or Technology discipline required

Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in Project Management required;

Experience with Waterfall, RUP and Agile methodologies required.

Experience managing technology projects required;

Knowledge of project metrics, including data gathering, reporting, and trend analysis.

Exceptional PowerPoint skills, including functionality and design.

Proven experience with planning & reporting tools:

Project and Portfolio Management (e.g., CA Clarity PPM, Jira)

Process modeling (e.g., iGrafx, Visio)

Project planning (e.g. MS Project, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

MBA desirable

PMP desirable

Self-motivated, quick and assertive.

Extremely detailed oriented and organized.

experience with technology infrastructure projects a plus.

Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and comfortable with change and complexity.
