Job DescriptionAs a Supervisor for the Infusion Accounts Receivable(A/R) department, you will be responsible forproviding leadership for assigned Patient FinancialServices (PFS) teams. You will oversee a team ofA/R representatives that are responsible forcontacting payers to collect on unpaid claims in atimely and accurate manner, researching andresolving payment variances, and managing theaccurate and timely filing of claims within payerfunction group.Additional responsibilities of the Accounts ReceivableSupervisor include:
Oversee day-to-day operations of teams to ensure
timely and accurate completion of all PFS activities
Monitor and strive to continually improve the
collection of payer claims in accordance with the respective contract
Assist management with meetings with key payers
to discuss reimbursement issues and payerpublication notices affecting claims processingchanges
Ensure daily reconciliation of electronic claim files
Maintain productivity and quality standards of all
PFS functions
Review accounts receivable adjustments for
accuracy and submit adjustment requests as definedby departmental policies and procedures for uppermanagement approval
Maintain compliance with government
reimbursement programs
Suggest changes to department policies and
procedures as appropriate
Work with management to complete disciplinary
action as required
Work with the Training and Education department to
develop and deploy training for new employees andprovide ongoing training as needed
Complete annual performance reviews for
employees and provide timely feedback
Create a work environment for employees through
team building, coaching, constructive feedback, workdelegation, personal example and goal setting thatencourages creativity, open dialogue on work issues,professional growth, and a consistent, high level ofperformance; encourage and support employeedecision-making within his or her scope ofresponsibilities
Develop and maintain “super user” capabilities in
technology applications and all other relatedinformation systems, tools, technologies, andprocesses; assist other employees as needed toensure all tools are fully utilized to create an efficientand effective department
Comply with and adhere to all regulatory
compliance areas, policies and procedures (includingHIPAA and PCI compliance requirements), and"leading practices"
Liaise appropriately with peers across the
organization; work with Intake and Analyticsdepartment to communicate trends and suggestprocess improvements to revenue cycleRequired Qualifications
2+ years of supervisory experience in healthcare
reimbursement or medical insurance/billing
5+ years of Revenue Cycle or similar Accounts
Receivable experience, preferably withinbilling/collections
1+ years of experience using the Microsoft Office
Suite, specifically Word, Outlook, and ExcelPreferred Qualifications
Clear understanding of how Collections and Billing
impacts Revenue Cycle operations and financialperformance
Certification with Healthcare Financial Management
Association, or Certified Revenue CycleRepresentative preferred
Home healthcare experience, preferably in
pharmacy setting
Experience in managing projects involving the
collaboration, motivation and cooperation of a widevariety of people with whom there is no directreporting relationship
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
simultaneously, and to effectively anticipate andrespond to issues as needed in a dynamic workenvironment
Dedication to treating both internal and external
