###Job Description:Staff positions are supportive roles providing support to our rehabilitation mission. Applicants for staff positions do not need to have a barrier to employment to be eligible for these roles.We are looking for a Vocational Services Specialist (prefer bilingual in Spanish language) to provide the rehabilitation support for our team members. This person would be responsible for the development and management of team members’ individual program plan to help the individual meet their vocational goals. This will include case management, counseling, crisis intervention, coaching, and training. This individual will pull together internal and external resources to provide the best support possible.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide person-centered case management services to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment
Deliver one-on-one counseling, coaching, crisis intervention and/or training with program participants when needed and/or requested
Provide intensive support to program participants during their first 90 days in of programming and make recommendations for needed interventions to promote vocational success
Assist program participants in developing an individualized program plan in consideration of their vocational goals, strengths, interests, functional limitations, and potential utilization of assistive technology and other job accommodations
Work to identify strategies and appropriate assistive technology solutions for program participants to assist them in maximizing their vocational success
Process initial intake documents; Develop and maintain electronic case files for program participants
Provide human resources support to program participants, including new hire orientation, FMLA management, and support with corrective action as needed
Communicate with community agencies and provide information about community resources to enhance support services for program participants
Conduct orientation sessions for new program participants
Work with an interdepartmental team to monitor participants’ progress and enhance the quality of services provided
Research and build resources and team knowledge to help Team Members navigate community resources and internal resources so they can develop independence and self-sustainability
May attend community and Peckham events throughout the year
Assist in the training of people with disabilities as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be proficient in English
This position requires passing and maintaining federal and state security background checks
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy cultural diversity in the workplace
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) required and 0-2 years of related experience
Or 4-6 years of related experience
Must have understanding of public policy and applicable human resources laws
Ability to research and build resources through community partners and Peckham programs
Clear understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Clear understanding of OnTime and Workday, or another HRIS system
Ability to maintain and keep strict confidentiality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Spanish
Bachelor’s Degree in Rehab Counseling, General Counseling, Social Work or other related field preferred
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred
Past experience providing clinical support would be beneficial
Conflict Management skills and experience
Effective Communication and Writing skills preferred
Mentoring and Coaching skills and experience preferred
Problem Solving and quality focus
Stress Management abilities preferred
