Specialty implant and restorative private practice seeking an experienced dental assistant to join the family!
The candidate must possess existing front office skills, or have willingness to cross-train to perform front office duties.
Part-time position is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Based on experience and skills, potential to grow from part-time into full-time position (M-TH).
Requirements:
Highly motivated self-starter. Be proactive!
Excellent communication and people skills
Organization skills with attention to detail
Registered dental assistant; or dental assistant with 2+ years experience
X-ray certification and proficiency in radiography: know what's diagnostic and when to retake without being told. Able to use digital X-ray sensors
Ability to multitask
Strong background in all aspects of restorative dentistry (implants, dentures, crowns/bridges, veneers)
Conscious of budget: ordering dental supplies and materials, conserving supplies
Preferred:
2 years dental assisting experience
Experience with dental insurances: verifying eligibility, submitting claims
Proficient making impressions, pouring/trimming casts, making and adjusting temporaries
Surgical assisting experience (implant placement, bone grafting, extractions)
Knowledge of implant dentistry: restorative and surgical aspects
Tech savvy
Experience with SoftDent software
