I am a solo Immigration law attorney with a small office off of downtown Phoenix. I am looking for someone to work 36 hours a week (on a trial basis - to see if you are a fit - we work in a small space) answering phones and assisting my paralegal in whatever she may need. My clients are 99% Spanish speakers and, all my services are done in Spanish (NOT SPANGLISH). I cannot offer full time and/or benefits YET but it is something I am working on.

The schedule is 9-5 Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 9-3 Tuesday and Thursday

Position Summary:

Welcome visitors and answer incoming calls in a warm, pleasant, and professional manner- IN SPANISH, translate written documents from Spanish to English and vice versa. Schedule my consults. Maintain a clean and neat reception area, handle specific office duties and provide administrative support to my paralegal and myself as needed.

Job Responsibilities as a MUST:

•Customer Service is a priority, puctuality is a priority

•Bilingual - SPEAKING, READING, WRITING SKILLS - this is a deal breaker YOU MUST BE FULLY BILINGUAL

•Greeting, welcoming and directing visitors appropriately

•Multitasking - while answering phones

•Scanning, faxing and filing

•Managing in/out mail

•Maintaining a clean and welcoming reception area

•Supporting paralegal as needed with projects

•Completing general correspondence and administrative duties

•Other related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:

•1-3 years in immigration law office or legal office position PREFERRED

•Minimum 1 year in Administrative experience SKILLS

•Excellent verbal communication skills

•Strong organizational skills

•High degree of commitment to customer satisfaction and to serving the immigrant community.

•Ability to consistently maintain a pleasant, cordial composure regardless of stressful situations

*Ability to operate office equipment, i.e., copiers, fax, phone etc.

•Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment

•Well-organized approach to job responsibilities

•Ability to set priorities for workload

•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, strong internet skills using external websites

•Ability to work well with team members as well as independently

Pay is based on experience and what you bring to the table especially regarding a background in immigration.
