Gearfire is looking for a full-stack PHP developer with Agile/Scrum experience to work in our Scottsdale Airpark office. This is a full-time, on-site position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enhance our eCommerce solution to meet new requirements of our current and future customers/markets

Create data integrations with manufacturers and distributors, leveraging an integration engine

Build integrations with partnering services

Build reliable and testable code, using unit tests and automated testing tools

Build reusable code and libraries for future use

Optimization of the application for speed and scalability

Implementation of security and data protection

Work within, and offer recommendations to improve, our change management process

Participate in deployment of updates to the production platform

SKILLS:

Full-stack PHP development, proficient in all stages of web development, from conception to deployment

Preferred stack experience: Linux, Apache or Nginx, MySQL, PHP

PHP is your strongest skill, but you are comfortable with front-end technologies (Angular 2+, Bootstrap or Foundation, and Sass)

Building models and utilizing an ORM, preferably Eloquent

Ability to translate user story requirements into technical specifications

Great communication skills and ability to work directly with business users

Good time management and organizational skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years PHP development experience

Self-starter with a passion for building high-quality web applications

Agile/Scrum experience, and the desire to be an advocate for the methodology

Experience with:

Developing unit tests, and writing quality tests vs just covering code

Experience with design patterns, especially MVC

Experience with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

Experience with Git - cloning repositories, pull requests, etc.

Prefer experience with:

eCommerce or public-facing web application development

Microservices Architecture

NoSQL

Developing software in a Continuous Delivery environment

Product search engines (SOLR/Lucene, Sphinx, Elasticsearch, etc.)

Integration engines/Middleware/ESB

Developing web applications deployed in AWS (support for auto-scaling, etc.)

Test automation (e.g. Selenium)
