Seeking intermediate to veteran IT professionals looking to be our sysAD and support extraordinaire.

If you have a heart for supporting people in their use of technology AND want to get your hands dirty in some bite sized scripting projects, this position is for you.

Looking for a hungry self starter, higher education not needed, proper attitude and the willingness & ability to learn is more important than what code languages you know. We prefer training and equipping candidates over asking them to rethink how things may be done. A history in sales and service is a definite bonus, experience in python, modern Javascript, and Unix based terminals also a bonus.

Our goal for this position is to find a passionate and quick learning IT professional that we may have head our IT support staff as we continue to expand. At this point we envision our IT sector growing to have more software engineers and hybrid support staff. In our era of accessible and performant code languages and serverless environments, much of our business is already built on scripting for our prototyping before the software engineers begin full scale development. Hands on support will never go away and we will always need professionals that love our staff to answer the call to “turn it off and on again” but we seek to empower these professionals to do more than love the call of the help desk. We put people first on our teams and passion, and patience, for empowering people with tech tools is a must. We have already taught python to two employees with backgrounds in nothing relative to tech in order to support our appetite for scripting integrations. We are confident we can equip an eager learner.

We are excited for the growth of our team and cannot wait to meet those that may walk through our door. The first stage in applying will be a resume to our HR director which will be proofed by them and our IT Director. From there a screening call from the HR director may lead to the first interview with the IT Director. Did we mention we were a people company?

Examples of responsibilities for position:

respond to helpdesk tickets for general support, this will begin with shadowing

support a userbase of 40 mac users, 10 Ubuntu Users

maintain server room organization and maintain/strengthen ubiquiti network and general security

log issues in Jira and track time and notes for resolution

participate in daily standups to stay in sync and keep communication sharp

work through curriculum to grow scripting skill in Unix / Python

use the above skills to complete landmark tasks to mark the growth in your position
