AirFiber WISP is a local Wireless Internet service provider located in North Phoenix. At AirFiber we believe in building leaders within all levels of our company. AirFiber is growing at a rapid pace.
We are seeking a full-time Field Service Installer/Technician to join our Team in North Phoenix and surrounding areas. In this role, you are the public face of AirFiber by helping our customers with Internet service installations or repairs. Our field techs need to enjoy working both with technology and helping our customers.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Perform Site Surveys to determine serviceability
- Install new customers with Internet service and service calls
- Diagnose and troubleshoot connectivity problems during Service Visits
- Configure routers and customer computers
- Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers
- Keep accurate and current inventory, vehicle maintenance logs
- Maintain company -issued assets including tools, equipment and vehicles
- Provide highest level of customer experience in all interactions with customers
- Safely drive company vehicle while utilizing most efficient route
- Other related duties as directed
Requirements for Position
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current valid Driver's License
- Safety-conscious
- No prior criminal history
- Ability to drive a vehicle without presenting a safety risk to self or others
- Ability to be added to Company auto insurance policy
- Must demonstrate personal accountability; be punctual for appointments and meetings
- Regular and predictable attendance required
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Installation experience in related field/wireless internet highly valued
- Comfortable and professional working in customer homes
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers
- Willingness to think "outside of the box" on-site locations
- Enjoys working in all weather conditions
- Enjoys working with hands and learning new technology
- Experience and comfortable using hand & power tools
- Must be comfortable working on roofs and in tight spaces
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Fast-paced, environment with multiple changes to schedules and fluctuating priorities.
- Employees work indoors & outdoors in all weather conditions and are frequently in high or tight spaces.
- Must pass a background check, MVR & drug screen.
- Physical Requirements: Light-Lifting 0-10 lbs, Moderate-Lifting 0-25 lbs, Heavy-Lifting 25+ lbs
