Job Description:
· Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure in a new construction commercial environment such as Hospitals, Data Centers, Airports, and Commercial Retail facilities.
· Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems, and on tenant improvement projects.
· Testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications.
· Identifying and removing redundant cabling.
· Installation of wireless access routers, patch panels and internet technology devices.
· Perform and learn how to properly deal with troubleshooting issues per company standards.
· Installing of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and inner-duct.
· Repairing cable termination, and cable runs
· Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
· Completing paperwork such as timesheets, and checklists
Nice to have
· Experience installing and troubleshooting low voltage systems; the more technical experienced the better
· Proficiency in Fiber splicing, troubleshooting of existing fiber plants
· Installation of overhead cable supports, J-Hooks, and cable running lines properly to cable trays
· Termination experience with Category 5, 5E, 6, 6a, fiber strands over 100, and copper.
· Properly perform finish work such as installation of faceplates and labeling for the end device installation
· Experience in anaerobic (2 part epoxy) terminations.
· Proficiency with Fluke OTDR and Fluke Power meter.
· Experience with medium level fiber network troubleshooting
· Experience working on new commercial construction, tenant improvements, and remodels
· Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals, and specifications
Requirements
· Perform installations for structured cabling, security/access control, and other related cable systems for large commercial installations
· Professional appearance, positive and respectful attitude.
· We prefer candidates who have at least one year of professional experience, but we are willing to train the right person
· A valid driver’s license, valid car insurance, reliable transportation
· No more than 3 moving violations in the last 4 years
· The ability to pass a company standard drug screen and background check
· Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and attitude
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· Company operates 24/7 - must have shift availability.
· Must be available for 40 plus hours.

Compensation:
· $36,400 - $58,000 per year, dependent on experience.
