We are a leading property management company looking to fill open Community Manager/ Maintenance Technician position. This position will require the applicant to have knowledge in business management and light maintenance skills. On the apartment manager side, Community Manager oversees all business-related activities at a property. Because of the importance to the property, for properties over 16 units, we require managers to live on site in an apartment unit that is provided as part of your compensation. Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition for the residents.

Tasks that Community Managers perform are varied and include:

Converse pleasantly on the phone.

Be proactive in filling vacancies.

Show vacant units to potential tenants.

Maintain properly groomed and appropriate appearance.

Walk the property and ensure it is well maintained.

Coordinate with maintenance staff.

Direct collection of monthly assessments, rental fees, and deposits.

Prepare financial reports for property.

Maintain records of rental activity, maintenance and operating costs.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities of a manager are similarly varied and include:

Ability to operate basic office equipment.

Ability to speak, read, and write English to be understood clearly.

Ability to work well with others.

Ability to drive a motor vehicle.

Skill in time management.

Tasks that Maintenance Technicians perform (this is not an all-inclusive list):

Satisfies service requests per work orders

Makes repairs to apartments and buildings

Assists with making a unit rent-ready

Paints

Services appliances, plumbing, electrical fixtures

Repairs or replaces old and faulty parts

Checks and changes locks

Repair drywall

Picks up trash on property to maintain safety and cleanliness

The knowledge, skills, and abilities of a maintenance technician are similarly varied and include:

Ability to communicate effectively

Establish and maintain good relations with residents, vendors, and co-workers

Basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, mechanical, drywall repair, carpentry, and pool maintenance.

Is familiar with electric, water, and gas turnoffs, and clean-outs.

Own transportation and valid driver's license

Own tools (basic tools)

High School graduate or equivalent

Good mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with your hands.

Willingness to work outside in a variety of temperatures throughout the year.

You do not need to have experience in every area mentioned above but you MUST be able to relocate to live on the property: If we see that you are personable, and eager to learn, training can come afterwards. Current positions are available in the Prescott area. Bi-lingual would be a plus.
