Role:

The maintenance and facilities technician is responsible for the support for all manufacturing processes in both a machine shop and assembly environment. This position will oversee the maintenance and support assignments for the entire facility. This position is highly diverse with responsibilities that routinely vary. Flexibility, attention to detail and project completion is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform basic maintenance operations on facility, utility and HVAC equipment

Drive improvements in product quality and manufacturing efficiencies

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment

Accurately enter all required data into current tracking systems in a timely manner

Provide maintenance support for engineering projects

Assist in the development and revision of SOPs

Perform various housekeeping duties (work areas, equipment, etc.)

Process purchase requisitions and order PM parts and accessories as needed

Perform basic facility maintenance and repairs such as plumbing, lighting, and painting

Serve as the backup safety representative

Other duties as required

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to diagnose and repair technical and facility equipment

Ability to operate hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner

Understand building blueprints, as built, schematics and flow diagram

High mechanical aptitude; ability to analyze the mechanics of new projects for the most efficient outcome

Knowledge of hydraulic systems

Ability to work independently and be self-motivated

AutoCAD or equivalent proficiency a plus

Excellent communication skills

Skill in computer usage to include Microsoft applications. Programming capabilities a plus

Safe driving record and valid driver's license

Willing to work flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the company

Professional demeanor. Ability to work well with employees, management and outside contractors

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Must be able to squat, bend, kneel, climb, stand, walk and reach for up to 75% of the shift

Qualifications & Requirements:

2 year or higher degree from an accredited university or college preferred

Minimum 3 years' experience as a facilities and/or maintenance technician
