Inspyr Solutions, formerly Genuent is currently seeking a Business Analyst with Data Standardization experience. This is a 6 month+ contract opportunity and is fully remote for the duration of the project.

The Data Standardization Business Analyst is supporting the design, deployment, and maintenance of data standards which help to improve data consistency and quality and reduce complexity in our data ecosystem. This includes the standardization of reference data (i.e., lists of values and related hierarchies such as product types, business units, industry codes and the like) which are critical to key enterprise business processes, including regulatory reporting, risk management, financial crimes compliance, financial and management reporting. This role will work with business and technology stakeholders across the organization to understand our current state level of standardization as well as our target state standardization requirements in order to support the development of effective standards.Major Responsibilities:
The Data Standardization Business Analyst is responsible for partnering with a wide variety of stakeholders across MUFG entities, lines of business, operations (e.g., Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Regulatory Reporting), and technology, both within the Americas and in collaboration with MUFG Head Office to deliver on the following areas and objectives:
Current State Analysis
o Conduct analysis as needed to understand and document the level of standardization present for Key Data Elements (KDE's) used by key consumption processes included risk reporting, regulatory reporting, and compliance processes (e.g., Know Your Client, AML, etc.) Standards Development
o Work with stakeholders, including key data consumers, to understand their data standardization requirements (i.e., the range and granularity of standard code values and associated uses)
o Collaborate with stakeholders to drive the development, refinement and approval of standards that help to remove variability in the current environment while meeting the needs of data consumers
o Assist with mapping current system values to standardized values as needed
o Partner with risk and regulatory reporting stakeholders to capture requirements, leveraging foundational knowledge of banking products, risk reporting and regulatory reporting Maintenance and Support
o Assist with educating our stakeholders on the benefits of data standardization, including reference data standardization, and with training them on the specific processes and tools used to meet these goals
o Provide ongoing support to our stakeholders as questions and issues arise in the environment
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management or related field
5+ years' experience with data analysis, data management or development with strong experience in financial services, and in complex and global business and technology environments
Experience in organizations with mature data governance capabilities, including standardized reference data capabilities
Ability to develop and maintain long-term positive working relationships with peers, subordinates, and senior management
Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Deep understanding of banking data across products, operations or risk/regulatory reporting. Experience with CCAR, DFAST, Y9C, 14M or 14Q is preferred
