Credit and Collections Specialist - in Scottsdale, AZKelly Services® is seeking a motivated, hardworking individual to work as a credit and collection specialist for a major company in Scottsdale, AZ.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the accounts receivable portfolio turns into cash, positively impacting cash flow through direct customer collection efforts.Responsibilities:

Collections - ownership of AR aging: managing collections efficiency metrics to target, acting as a first point of contact to obtain full resolution on customer disputes or billing inquiries

Meet defined department goals and activity metrics

Recommend accounts for suspension after proper collections activity

Communicate the status of designated accounts

Effectively analyze and resolve open cash unapplied amounts in a timely manner

Process and review account adjustments

Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances due

Monitor and maintain assigned accounts customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off, customer reconciliations and processing credit memos

Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts

Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process

Must communicate follow-up effectively with sales and Sales Operations department regarding customer accounts on a timely basis

Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and sales

Ensures compliance with all company policies

Qualifications:

Preferred Bachelor's Degree BS/BA or equivalent experience

3-5 years of related credit and collections experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Strong mathematical skills

Effective negotiation skills

Patience and ability to manage stress

Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work in a team environment

Customer service orientation and professionalism

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong analytical, strategical and creative problem solving skills

Strong attention to detail

Goal-oriented

Ability to review accounts for possible problems and proactively address them

Ability to work overtime for month and quarter end as necessary

Ability to work in a fast paced environment
