Bowman Consulting is currently seeking an independent and enthusiastic Project Engineer to perform design and engineering services related to natural gas projects on location in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Design and manage projects according to Company and government specifications
Review, analyze, and maintain GIS maps
Coordinate projects with other work groups and departments
Communicate project status to appropriate departments
Ensure jobs are completed and closed in a timely manner
Verify proper procedures, specifications and accuracy of designs
Write justifications to accompany design cost estimate
Prepare reports and study results as required
Conduct research related to facility qualification and upratings
Conduct research related to Rights-of-Way and Easements
Evaluate municipality, other utility and private developer plans to assess the need for facility modifications
Conduct on-site field checks during construction of projects
Prepare and maintain Valve Isolation Plans
Prepare parts lists, bills of material, and cost estimates
Perform engineering calculations
Review submitted as-builts for completeness
Verify designed as-built quantities match construction orders
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline
Experience with GIS mapping preferred
Experience with AutoCAD preferred
Essential skills include strong computer skills and experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Excel, problem solving and critical thinking skills, as well as a familiarity with reading and understanding construction plans
Candidates should be able to multi-task and prioritize work, have strong communication skills and be able to work in a team environment
Excellent communication skills in working effectively with client, staff, contractor and government officials
Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
