Power BI Developer needed 6 Month+ Contract in Tempe, AZ!
Our client wishes to retain the services of a Power BI Developer consultant to perform the activities in support of the Analytics Center of Excellence’s rollout of Power BI as a visual analytics and reporting tool to employees at SRP.
Activities
- Work with ACE Business Analysts, Visual Analytics professionals, and Data Engineers to migrate existing Tableau content into Power BI
- Assist ACE team in the configuration and setup of Power BI environment and workspaces
- Participate in knowledge sharing and training events held by ACE with the SRP User Community
Technical Skills
- 3+ years’ experience developing Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards
- 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- 3+ years’ experience writing complex SQL queries
- Knowledge of DAX and Power Query
- Experience setting up data refreshes via Power BI Gateway
- Experience with reverse-engineering Tableau to facilitate migration to Power BI
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Data Visualization best practices
- Experience with other data environments such as Oracle, Hadoop, SAP HANA, SAP BW
- Data warehousing concepts
- Developing data models for reporting
- Experience writing/tuning SQL procedures, functions, and views
- Power BI Admin experience
- Strong technical as well as business communication abilities
- SSAS Tabular Models
- Extraction Loading and Transformation (ELT/ETL)
Bonus Skills
- Python
- Knowledge of other Reporting tools such as SSRS, SAP Web intelligence
