We are an established national staffing agency seeking tech savvy, professional staff for a two month temporary project collecting passenger data on City of Tucson Public Transit (Sun Tran, Sun Link, Sun Shuttle) for a regional transit rider study. The data collected from passengers will be used to improve transit in the Tucson region and help improve overall transportation by using the collected data in planning and forecasting.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Staff will ride on board trains or buses and approach passengers to take part in a 5-6-minute survey in which the surveyor will be asking the passenger questions and entering their answers using a tablet device. The survey includes mapping the passengers one way trip and a series of demographic questions. Staff must have experience using smart devices to be considered for this project.
SCHEDULE:
Training is on Monday, January 28th. Shifts are Monday-Thursday. We are hiring for AM shifts which are from approximately 5am-2pm. The daily schedule varies and the times listed are only an estimate. Partial shifts are not available, so please do not apply if you can't work these hours.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be polished and professional in appearance and demeanor.
Must be capable of standing on a moving vehicle for long periods.
Must have experience using technology (such as smart phones and tablets).
Must have a good grasp of basic math skills.
Must be able to interpret location using GPS devices.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
Must be courteous to passengers and colleagues.
Must be capable of approaching and interacting with strangers.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
TRAINING:
Mandatory, paid training and orientation will be held on Monday, January 28th from 11am-5pm (downtown Tucson). Field work begins the next day.
PAYMENT: $15.00 per hour. We pay weekly via direct deposit or pay card.
